Nollywood stars shut down Abeokuta for Odunlade Adekola’s mother’s 70th birthday party (Video)

Nollywood stars have stormed the 70th birthday party of their colleague, Odunlade Adekola’s mother.

Kemi Filani earlier reported that the actor’s mother, Deaconess Felicia Akoke Adekola turns 70 today.

In celebration of her day, Odunlade Adekola has shut down Abeokuta, with over 100 Nollywood actors present.

Spotted at the event were Mercy Aigbe and her husband Kazim Adeoti, Kemi Korede, Allwell Ademola, Ijebu, Jamiu Azeez, Kemi Afolabi Adesipe, Yinka Quadri, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Iya Rainbow and more.

Odunlade Adekola’s mother shed tears at her birthday celebration

Kemi Filani reported earlier that Odunlade Adekola’s mother couldn’t hold back her tears at her birthday Thanksgiving ceremony over the weekend.

To celebrate her day, a Thanksgiving service was held on Sunday, May 21st.

In videos posted on Odunlade’s Instagram page, his mother could be seen shedding tears while giving her speech.

Odunlade revealed that the moment was emotional for everyone too.

“I was very emotional too when she was in this Mood!!?? Mo Sebi okunrin Lagbara Olorun Ekun Ayo La Mama Sun Oooo. Ur parents will not cry over us in Jesus name”.

In another caption, he wrote, “At the church program all for MUMMY. 70th birthday celebration. Thank you for all your wishes”.

Penning a birthday note to her, he wrote,

“Happy Birthday to you Mummy. Happy 70th Birthday to you Super Grandma. We love you IYA ODUN”.

Odunlade Adekola celebrates his father on retirement

Last year, Odunlade Adekola proudly celebrated his father, Pastor N. A Adekola, who retired from service as a minister of God.

Odunlade Adekola shared videos from the retirement service held for his father at Christ Apostolic Church in Abeokuta Ogun state.

The multiple award-winning actor was grateful to God for his father’s achievement. He accompanied his appreciation with a prayerful message to the young ones.

His colleagues had shown support to him as they graced the occasion.

The likes of Femi Adebayo Salami, Peju Ogunmola, Fathia Williams, Akin Olaiya, Ireti Osayemi, and Owolabi Ajasa, among others, attended the retirement party.
