Late Murphy Afolabi’s candle night took place today in Lagos and top celebrities in the Nollywood industry stormed the event. Nollywood stars like Olaiya Igwe, Adekola Tijani, Ijebuu, Bimbo Thomas, Yemi Solade, Adesanya Toyosi, Kemi Afolabi, Afeez Owo, Akin Olaiya, Kelvin Ikeduba, Allwell Ademola, Esther Kalejaiye, and many others graced the occasion.
In the early hours of the candle night, his first wife and children were first spotted before celebrities started coming in. His friend, Adekola Tijani and Ijebuu anchored the program and shared their experiences with the late actor.
Kelvin Ikeduba also shared his encounter with late Murphy, noting that he was the one that made him a star. Akin Olaiya, Toyosi Adesanya, Olaiya Igwe, and many others cried profusely as they couldn’t control their tears.
After the Candle night program, they wished Murphy a final goodbye and burnt all the candles.
May Murphy’s soul rest in peace and many God give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
