Superstar musician, David Adeleke, better known as Daido has revealed he and Chioma Rowland got married during their grieving moment over the death of their 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
According to Tribune Online, the singer and Chioma’s decision to wed was driven by their desire to support each other and stay strong as a family during the challenging time.
Davido who dropped his highly anticipated ‘Timeless’ album on Friday, 31st March, disclosed that he faced numerous challenges in the last few months. He explained that he had to be a pillar of strength for Chioma, not only as her lover but also as her husband, in order to face their difficult situation together.
“At that moment, we went through a lot together and we had to be there for each other to get through that moment and be ready for what was coming-Timeless. Now that we have crossed over that moment, it is time to show the world that I am ready for this,” Davido said
The Afrobeat sensation revealed that “Timeless” underwent at least three different phases before the final version was settled upon.
Although the album features several high-energy tracks with good vibes, the singer acknowledged that grieving the loss of his son had an impact on the project.
