“I Gained admission at 14, finished at 18” – Singer Ayra Starr says as she speaks on her music journey (Video)

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe better known as Ayra Starr during an interview in Nairabi, Kenya speaks on her music journey.

During the interview, Ayra Starr, the “Rush” crooner disclosed that her music career didn’t start until she was 18-year-old when she graduated as she noted that her mother prioritize going to school first before doing any type of music.

According to Ayra Starr, she did her WAEC before he gets to SS3 and fortunately for her she passed it and then entered a University in Benin where she spends 3-years.

Note that Ayra Starr attended Les Cours Sonou University and received a BA degree in international relations and political science. The singer during the interview added that she is thinking of getting another degree but she has been busy with music.

Speaking about her interest in learning, 20-year-old Ayra Starr who is going to clock 22-year-old on June 14th said that despite being busy in getting another degree, she has been taking Piano lessons, French lessons, and music lessons.

Speaking about her hobby, Ayra Starr said that she loves reading books alot as she seet it as her solace and escape as she asserts that she is from a very musical background and she knows she is going to do music at a point.

Ayra Starr further added that she received supports from people alot and by extension this has continue to keep her grounded. She said that her sister is her personal assistant and her brother is her videographer while speaking about her hit songs, Rush and Sability.
