The Lagos State Police Command has arrested controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry, over the death of the singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.
The news was shared on the X app by the Nigerian police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin. He confirmed on Thursday, September 28 that the music promoter was arrested and is presently assisting with the investigation on Mohbad’s death.
It has come to light that Sam Larry was taken into custody upon his return to Nigeria from Kenya around 10 pm on Thursday and was subsequently transferred to the main police station in Lagos.
Recall that the police had earlier invited Sam Larry and singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, for questioning over Mohbad’s demise.
However, SP Benjamin announced that Sam Larry is in their custody. He wrote, “Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with ongoing investigation.” See the post below:
