Two graduating students of Kwara college to face disciplinary action over ‘immoral’ sign-out photo

Two students of the Kwara State College of Education, Ilọrin, are set to appear before a disciplinary panel for engaging in an act termed ”immoral display”.

A photo which went viral on social media captured a male Mohammed AbdulSalam, and female student, Sulyman Tawakaltu celebrating their final exams during their their signing out session, with the man grabbing her chest region. The affected students are both of the agricultural department.

In an internal memo on the incident, the college attributed its decision to “the display of immoral practice by two students of the institution.”

The college mandated the “Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC) to bring the two students to book to serve as a deterrent to others.”

Public Relations Officer of the college, Hajia Habitat Zubair confirmed the development to on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

“The school has commenced investigation into the matter but has not made any formal pronouncement on it,” she said.
