Brillant African Lady graduates as a Marine Engineer with first-class, celebrates exceptional victory

A young and brilliant Ghanaian lady named Monica Nancy Candny has celebrated graduating with first-class honours as Marine Engineer.

Monica who attended the Regional Maritime University, Ghana, West Africa bagged her Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering. She revealed through her Linkedin profile that she graduated with flying colours having bagged a first-class degree.

“Today I have graduated with first-class honor in BSc Marine Engineering, I am grateful to God. If were not for God where could I have been?,” she wrote.

Monica had earlier attended the Liberia Maritime Training Institute (LMTI), Liberia to bag an Associate Degree in Marine/Electrical Engineering before proceeding for her Bachelor’s Degree.

Celebrating her feat, she posted beautiful pictures of their 2022 graduation ceremony where she and her colleagues wore the Marine uniform.

Monica gave thanks to the Liberia Maritime Authority, Liberia’s international ship and Corporate registries, and Liberia Maritime Training Institute.

She also thanked her family for the contributions to her success. “My family, my mentors, Linkedin friends and everyone who contributed to my success. Thanks, for making me who I am today,” she wrote.

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue counts. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work,” she inspired upcoming graduates

In another inspiring story, an exceptional Nigerian woman named Mervin Azeta achieved tremendous success after graduating with a first-class degree in Chemical Engineering and Reservoir Engineering.

Mervin Azeta who now works as a Lead Engineer with Schlumberger narrated that growing up she was told Engineering is not quite a discipline for girls.

“To think I was once told that engineering isn’t quite a discipline for girls; they would normally drop off after a few years of undergrad study. Well, look how far I have come, by GOD’S infinite grace, love and mercy,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
