Nollywood actor, film producer, and director, Obinna Nwafor better known as Saint Obi is dead.
The actor was said to have died on Sunday, last week, May 7th in the home of one of his siblings, in Jos, after a prolonged illness.
According to reports, the disagreement between his siblings is the reason why his death took almost a week to be made official.
Further details surrounding his death has been kept under wraps. The veteran was aged 57 years.
The movie star came into prominence in his role in Zeb Eiro’s ‘Sakobi’ and was featured in over 100 movies.
He is also well known for his roles in Candle Light, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, etc.
Veteran actor, Alafin Oro
The news of his death is coming hours after Kemi Filani reported that Yoruba actor Adedigba Mukail known by his stage name Alafin Oro had passed away.
Alafin Oro’s demise was announced in the early hours of Saturday morning by fellow actor, Kunle Afod.
In a post on his Instagram page, Kunle Afod expressed his sadness at the loss of a great philosopher and icon with extensive knowledge of Yoruba culture.
“R.I.P Adedigba. We will surely miss you. We drank from your River of knowledge, we know how important you are, the sad news this morning really broke my heart @alafinoro1 sun re ooo,” Afod wrote on Instagram.
In another post, Afod said: “Another library is burnt down today. A great philosopher. An icon with so much Yoruba knowledge. A lover of God @alafinoro1. You departed this sinful world early hour of today. May your gentle soul rest in peace.”
Other Nollywood stars also took to social media to mourn Alafin Oro.
